Dr. Hubbard is a 1979 graduate of the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. He recieved his undergraduate degree in 1970 from Washington and Lee University. He and his wife Kathy have 2 children, Meredith and Kevin. They have two Labs and a cat at home, and numerous cats at the hospital that no one else will claim!

Jan lives on a minifarm in Shelby County, along with several dogs, cats, and an Arabian Horse. She is a 1975 graduate of Auburn University, as are two of her three children. She breeds longhaired Dachshunds and usually has puppies for sale. War Eagle!

Kristina has been at Countryside since 2008. She came to us with a background in Office Management, human rehab, and an intense love for animals. She is a whiz with our computers, and is fast learning to do just about everything else in the Hospital. She and her husband Preston have five dogs and one cat.

Shannon has been with us since August, 2009. She is currently attending Jeff State, majoring in office administration. She and her husband James have two beautiful Boxers, Tyson and Kady! She is a talented and hardworking technician who loves working with animals.

Ashley has been at Countryside since August of 2010. She came to us with little experience. She has grown to be a great technician! Ashley has two dogs and two cats that she loves dearly. She has a wonderful passion for animals. Also, she is currently enrolled at Jeff State working towards a degree in Office Administration.

Terri does a little bit of everything in our practice. She is officially our Office Manager, but what she is best at is making all of our clients and all of our four-legged friends feel extra special. She lives in a log cabin in Odenville with 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a crazy African Gray Parrot named "Chopper".

Beth has a special way with animals that is just unbelievable. She treats our clients' pets as if they were her babies, and they love her! Her daughter Kaycie is just like her, and we are very fortunate to have both of these wonderful ladies taking care of our critters! Beth thoroughly enjoys reading to the animals in the kennel during her lunch break!

Kayci is Beth's daughter and is a Senior at the Shelby County School of Technology. She plans to attend college to pursue a career in nursing. She began volunteering at Countryside when she was twelve years old, and at age fourteen she became an official employee. Kayci has a dog named Weanie Beagle. She enjoys her job and looks forward to many more wonderful years at Countyside before she starts taking care of human patients!

Landon Pickett

Kennel Technician

Landon joined our Staff in July, 2012. He is in 9th grade at Montevallo High School. Landon has one dog and a cat. He enjoys working with and taking care of animals. He is a member of the Shelby County Sheriff's Office Law Enforcement Explorer organization, where he trains with fellow Explorers and Deputies each week. Landon plans to join the military after graduation and go into a career in law enforcement.

Walt Lyle

Walt is a Senior at Thompson High School, and has been a valuable member of our kennel team since 2009. Walt will leave us this year as he travels to Oxford, MS to begin his freshman year at Ole Miss! He will be hard to replace. Walt lives at home where his family has two dogs and three cats.

Emily Maccrae

Emily joined us in August, 2011. She attends the University of Montevallo and is pursuing a pre-veterinary curriculum. She plans to apply for admission to the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine within the next year. She does a wonderful job observing and caring for our patients. Emily lives at home with her parents and three dogs, Ruby, Simba and Tybee.

Dakota Orr

Dakota joined our team in August, 2012. She is curently enrolled in an online Veterinary Technician curriculum. She recently married and has a beautiful daughter nemed Ella Grace. She has a cat named Paisley, and a dog named Blue! She is very passionate about animal care and loves the field of work she has chosen.
